Our wedding catering team at Watermouth Cove are delighted to offer you a variety of catering packages to both reflect the style of your wedding and to help create that truly perfect day.
Our aim is to take the utmost care of your wedding celebrations so you are able to relax and enjoy the entire event, so with this in mind the catering options we offer can start from the evening before, providing an informal welcome dinner for you, your close friends and family, allowing you to catch up with and mingle in total relaxation.
Then, following on from the big day itself, we can offer ‘’the day-after’’ catering packages, enabling you to really make the most of the weekend and to spend extra time with those you love
Our Options
The Cove – Food & Drink Package
– £63.50 per adult
This option is designed to make the planning a little easier for you. Our combined food and drinks package include the following:
Canapes:
Served alongside your reception drinks:
A selection of sweet & savoury scones served with:
- Local strawberry jam & clotted cream
- Cream cheese & red onion chutney
Main course:
BBQ, served buffet style:
Exmoor beef burgers, Cajun chicken breast & Cumberland sausage, served with a selection of rolls & accompanying sauces & the following salads

- Wines for the table – Two glasses of wine per person with a choice of red, white or rosé.
- Toast – One glass of prosecco per guest, or a sparkling apple juice for a non-alcoholic alternative.
Canapés + 3 Course Sharing Platters
– £59.00 per adult
Sharing Platters – Sharing platters will be served to the middle of the table for guests to help themselves, they are a wonderful way to break the ice, offering an informal, family style dining experience. A sure way to get your guests talking at the table and feeling relaxed.
First Course – Please choose 1 sharing platter option from the list below.
Option 1 – Antipasti Platter: Chorizo, salami & Serrano ham, houmous, mixed marinated olives, feta & rocket salad, balsamic split, a selection of breads, baked camembert with rustic breads.
Option 2 – The Cove Fruits de Mar Platter: Dressed crab, king prawns, mackerel pâté, smoked salmon & cream cheese, crusty breads (supplement charge for this platter @ £6.00 per head).
Option 3 – Deconstructed Trio of Bruschetta Platter:
Crostini breads with vine tomato & mozzarella, salsa Verde, goats’ cheese & prosciutto.
Option 4 – Pâté Platter: Smooth chicken liver pâté, traditional course country pâté; served with caramelised onion chutney, mixed pickles, crostini bread.
Main Course – Please choose 1 sharing platter option from the list below.
Option 1 – Summer Roast Platter: Honey glazed gammon ham with Dijon mustard mayonnaise, a dressed side of sea trout with lemon & dill, served with roasted new potatoes, new potato salad vinaigrette dressing, tabbouleh, apple slaw & baby leaf salad.
Option 2 – Posh Surf & Turf Platter: Sliced Sirloin steak dressed with chimichurri rojo; Cajun chicken breast with lemon mayonnaise; king prawns & garlic butter; served with potato wedges, griddles tomatoes, flat field mushrooms, beer battered onion rings, petit pois & a rocket salad.
Option 3 – Classic Roast Platter: A choice of two meats served with roast potatoes, cauliflower cheese, maple glazed carrots & parsnips, savoy cabbage & red wine gravy.

Canapes + High Tea at the Cove
– £45.00 per adult
High Tea at the Cove – Our delicious High Tea includes a selection of finger sandwiches, wraps, quiches and vol-au-vents, along with sausage rolls and cheese straws; and no High Tea would be complete without a wonderful selection of cakes and these include: scones with clotted cream & jam, coffee & walnut cake, Victoria sponge, chocolate brownies and lemon tart, with tea and coffee served throughout.

We offer a selection of finger sandwiches on white & granary bread.

BBQ – Our BBQ option will be served from a buffet table inside the venue. If weather allows, guests will be invited to the outside grill a table at a time, with salads being served to the table, for guests to help themselves.
Option 1 – BBQ menu A: Served with a selection of breads, rolls, brioche buns and accompanying sauces, along with a choice of 4 salads from the list supplied:
- Exmoor beef burgers with applewood smoked cheddar, sliced tomato, lettuce & red onion
- Old English pork sausages with beer braised onions
- Cajun chicken drumsticks
- Griddled halloumi with Mediterranean vegetables
- Parcel wrapped salmon with lemon, dill & white wine.
Option 2 – BBQ menu B: Served with a selection of breads, rolls, brioche buns and accompanying sauces, along with a choice of 4 salads from the list supplied:
- Minted lamb burgers with crumbled feta & tzatziki dressing
- Smokey maple foot-long sausages with smoked dirty beans
- King prawns with chilli, lime & coriander marinade
- Middle Eastern style chicken kebabs with garlic & chilli sauce
Option 3 – The BBQ Banquet: A minimum of 60 guests are required for this catering option. An additional charge will apply if the guest number are less than 75. The banquet list below is completed with a selection of breads, rolls, brioche buns and accompanying sauces, along with a choice of 4 salads from the list supplied:

- Exmoor beef burgers with applewood smoked cheddar, sliced tomato, lettuce & red onion
